Judge:  Rob Herriot 

Originally from Adelaide, Rob was an Art Director at Ogilvy & Mather and later Creative Director at George Patterson Advertising, whilst also shooting commercial and exhibition photography.   After a location move to Sydney, Rob worked as a Production Designer in the film industry, working across features, commercials and rock clips, taking him across Australia and overseas, using photography to shape each project’s visual identity.   “Every job was different, but framing was everything.  My favourite subject – anything, just make sure it’s in focus and never ordinary…”  

EVENT – Description: 

This category is for photographs featuring occurrences and people at any special event or occasion.   1) COMPETITIVE EVENTS –  this could include sporting or any other competitive events.  2) SOCIAL CAUSES – photos covering events focused around social issues and causes.  3) TRADITIONS AND CULTURES – photos of events relating to or representing a specific culture or tradition.  4) WEDDING – images featuring people and activities relating to wedding or engagement ceremonies, celebrations or traditions. 5) CONCERTS  – this could include music concerts or similar events. 6) OTHER – event photography which falls outside the scope of the above categories.
