Urban Landscape Definition: Capturing the essence of urban life from its bustling energy to its architecture.  Understanding the language of the city and translating that to an image that can communicate a story, idea or feeling.  Urban landscape photography is a genre of photographic art that combines the techniques and principles borrowed from traditional landscape photography and applies them to the dynamic and diverse cityscapes of urban areas. In this approach, the photographer strives to capture the essence of urban environments while maintaining a connection to the natural world that may exist within or around the city.
