Dumbano Tunnels – Stay Blackheath/Katoomba
The Dumbano Tunnels is short but “off trail” canyon with a lot of waratahs and caves. The track there are some step ups and logs to scramble over.
Stunning rock pagodas, sandstone cliffs, breathtaking views.
Sunrise, wildflowers & waratahs, lost city & dry canyons. River Caves, Glow worms
River cave canyon (wet feet to just above the knee) has pretty gentle bush with a steep hill at the end. It’s less difficult than Dumbano but wetter.
Dry canyon is also an option. Easy walk, 100% dry, very picturesque.
Lost City Pagodas (tough 4wd track)
Other options include: Macquarie Pass waterfalls day (in an area you haven’t seen) 6 waterfalls and short distance walking.
